I bought two of these scissors jacks to go with the air-hydraulic motorcycle/ATV lift (#8133860). They work great, see my review on that lift as well. These move up and down smoothly. If the brackets can't be adjusted to fit the motorcycle or ATV exactly, you could put a 2x2 board from one jack to the other. I don't actually use them to lift my ATV. I place them underneath them on the ATV lift and when the lift goes up, it pushes them up into place.
