Been an auto mecahnic for over 45 years. Bought this press for my shop and was quite pleased. The table plates need 1/4 square stock welded on the bottoms to prevent them from sliding off but other than that this press works very well and is worth the money.

How can you go wrong for the sale price? For a hobbyist or home use - it's perfect.

A decent tool for the $120 I paid for it. It is a little short, so I will be building a base to lift it up about 10 inches. The cross head is a little sloppier than I would like, but I can make some shims to take up the play.

Just picked this up today. I've needed a small press for 30 years and I feel relieved to have finally bought one.rnrnI was going to custom build a press myself but after looking at this one and seeing it was on sale for $129.99(!) building one seemed a tad bit ludicrous. I agree with the other reviewer that the bed-plates aren't great. To be honest I'm amazed it came it any plates for $129. They won't win any prizes for paint quality or the welds but it is easily strong enough.

Excellent press for the price. Has enough force for every use I have needed it for, especially when it comes to car repair. Has a very small footprint for use in small shops and cramped garages. The only downsides are its slightly small work area which can make pressing out some control arm bushing awkward and its small and poorly cast bed plates. The bed plates however can be replaced with home made ones of 1/2" to 1" steel plate for a reasonable price.

Have been using a "C" device for the past 2 yrs and an anvil/hammer prior. This addition to the shop makes drive shaft and ball joint repair much easier. I am installing nylon rub blocks on the slides to eliminate the slop, but other wise this unit will last many yrs..
