very good torque wrench for the price I managed to do an engine over haul with it and now it runs perfectly

Great torque wrench for the money (especially when on sale). Of course for this price it is not the high precision instrument that some in the industry would require, but is definitely more than adequate for the average DIYer. I mainly use it to swap my winter tires, and has worked great for me with no complaints.

Like mentioned the accuracy has to be questioned at this price point but without testing what can you say. I find it is great peace of mind for torquing lug nuts which for me it is what it gets used for most. The locking and adjusting knobs are a bit clumsy.

This torque wrench did not click when the torque was achieved. Instead it slips causing you to strike your hand hard on something nearby. Returned for refund.

In the instructions the graduation marks are perfectly horizontal, however, on the tool itself the graduation marks curve upward from the vertical line to the number. My inclination is to take the point of contact with the vertical line as the reading but I see that it could also be at the top of the curve where the number is. The difference in measurement is 10 ft/lbs. Please clarify which reading is correct.

The measurement is taken from where the adjuster meets the first line. Closest to the center line of the tool. The numerical stamp is offset to easily view the torque values. Please call 1-800-665-8685 and we can assist you with setting this tool.
