Works fine I've used it with a Yamaha YZ250 on a Nissan pathfinder. Good on gas saving !! Easy to load and unload my bike alone.

I picked this up to take my dirt bike to the trails and I thought I would stress test it by running my buddy's Suzuki GSXR750 downtown. It worked like a dream. It was stable and I didn't have any problems. If your looking for an alternative to the good old trailer this is just about the best replacement.

I bought this on sale to carry around my Honda 200XR rather than trailer the bike everywhere. I thought it looked kind of cheap but it does the job no problem. I have also used it to transport my Suzuki DRZ400S Enduro (about 300 lbs) also no problem! Easy to load and very stable when driving around. Now I don't think I would want to drive down a logging road with a 500 lb bike on it but it should be ok to transport on paved roads.

I bought the carrier for an CRF230 but I am not impressed. Sure it's cheap at $150.00 but the rail is in two sections so it's not very sturdy. The ramp is also too small for SUV or Truck. Finally it's hard to load and unload the bike since everything is moving and the well (where your tires are sitting) are large so it's hard to get the bike out.I am rating 3 out of 5 because it's suitable for small bike with a small car. Also, I would recommend to weld the two pieces of the rail together.

Bought this to carry a Buell Blast on my motorhome. Bike weighs about 350 lbs. However, not well made or engineered. Ramp does not lock in, actually fell out the first time we tried to unload the bike. There are no spacers in the box tubing, so you can't tighten the bolts too much or it will crush the tubing. The main section was cut in two, I suspect for shipping size purposes. This makes for a weak seam in the middle of the carrier and causes the ends to sag down. Ramp could be longer to allow easier loading of street bikes or bikes with longer wheel bases, especially when the carrier is used on pick ups or motorhomes. This could be a great carrier, the idea was good but the short cuts and cost cuts make it a disappointing product. I would rate it more in the 300 lb range, if you travel any distance.I'll be returning this one.

I have heard that for those hauling dirt bikes with SUVs, vans etc (where the window is close to where the bike handlebar will be) you should expect broken windows. 13 inches away from the receiver sounds pretty close to me. Is that really a risk?

If the bike isn't secured properly damage to the rear window can occur. It is the consumers' responsibility to ensure the cargo is safely stowed and will not cause damage to the towing vehicle.
