Greg has been with Princess Auto for 26 years, and currently works as the Inventory Auditor in Saskatoon. In 2008, a friend encouraged him to take part in a local paintball game. He was a bit intimidated by the other players who had brought their own equipment, but the field owner said: "Paintball is the great equalizer. Everyone is on the same playing field." He was right - Greg was hooked.
Greg started to play regularly, and a while later found out about "the world's largest paintball game" in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. Excited at the thought of someday participating in this event, Greg focused on improving his health. By the time he left on his first carpool trip to Oklahoma in 2010, Greg was 30 pounds lighter and ready for action.
Once in Wyandotte, Greg and his pals joined the Commonwealth Expeditionary Forces (CEF), a group of paintballers inspired by the British and Canadians forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy. The CEF has 9 teams made up of over 300 players from all over the world. Since he and his group were all new to the CEF, Greg "somehow fell into a leadership role." During that week, they won five of six games!
Greg mentions that "playing paintball with the CEF allows you to meet the most amazing group of people from all over the world, and all coming together with the same sense of camaraderie and spirit to get the job done."
