Chuck is the Inventory Specialist at our Home Office in Winnipeg. He started 30 years ago as the Shipper/Receiver in our Regina Store in 1982, and is well known for his love of aviation.
Chuck has been around aircraft his entire life. His father, a pilot, was the owner of several planes over his lifetime, which included the legendary Tiger Moth. His dad took him on his first plane ride when he was 2 years old, and brought the family to many air shows. When his father retired from flying in 1998, he offered Chuck the chance to purchase his vintage 1965 Champion Citabria plane. The plane had been in the family for over 30 years, and Chuck jumped at the opportunity.
He began flight training that same year and received his pilot's license in 1999, fulfiling his father's dream to keep aviation in the family for another generation. Chuck hopes one day to pass his plane down to his 17-year-old daughter, who also shares this same passion. In August 2009, Chuck replicated an aerial photo of Regina, Sask. taken by his father 50 years earlier. Of the thousands of aerial photos he's taken over the years, this is the one he treasures most.
What else would Chuck like to pursue? He'd like to pilot a biplane and own a P51 Mustang (the million-dollar price tag is a bit steep, though).
