As a three-position four-way, open centre valve, it is commonly used to extend and retract a double-acting hydraulic cylinder or to control a hydraulic bi-directional motor. In the centre neutral position all the ports are connected which will allow the motor to freewheel or the cylinder to float. Its molded coils and DIN connectors are moisture and dirt resistant.
